Rating: the whole family

A brilliant and beautiful young woman named Belle feels out of place in her simple French village and longs for adventure. When her father finds himself imprisoned in a mysterious castle, Belle’s attempt to rescue him lands her in the clutches of the Beast, a monster who was trapped in his hideous form by an enchantress. The enchantress gave the Beast an enchanted rose that would bloom for many years. If he could learn to love another and earn her love in return by the time the last petal fell, then the spell would be broken. If not, he would be doomed to remain a beast for all time. Perhaps Belle could be the one to break the spell, but who could ever learn to love a beast?
