Judith Giebler started work at Midland Community Theatre in 1998.  Since then, Judith has enjoyed teaching and developing educational programming including writing and adapting dozens of plays for youth, establishing Pre-school classes, the Centerstage class for 7-12 grade students, theatre outreach programming, and dance & movement classes for the Pickwick Players program (which includes the annual Yuletide at the Yucca performance including partnerships with area dance companies).  Since coming to MCT, Miss Giebler has also founded MCT’s Thinking Cap Theatre (a children’s theatre touring troupe which has performed for over 40,000 area children), Applause! Players (classes for students with autism), and has also choreographed numerous shows for MCT and area theatres (including 42nd Street, Cabaret, All Shook Up, Evita, and Singin’ in the Rain, to name a few.)  Prior to her position at MCT, Judith received her B.A. in Theatre Arts and English Literature from Washburn University in Topeka, KS, and her M.A. in Theatre Arts from Kansas State University.  Miss Giebler taught dance and theatre in Salina, KS, for five years.  Her greatest teachers were her parents, who fostered in her a love of music, the arts, reading, and the importance of education.
