History & Mission

Midland Community Theatre provides opportunities for all people of all ages to participate in and experience quality theatre arts and education.

Midland Community Theatre has operated under the leadership of founding executive director Art Cole (1946-1983), Don Bachman (1984-1996), Timothy Jebsen (1997 - 2024), and is currently lead by managing artistic director, Adam Sahli (2024).

    Purchased historic Yucca Theatre in downtown Midland

    Produced EVITA with MOSC at Chap Center

    $3.6 million capital campaign allowed MCT to renovate Cole Theatre

    Hosted International AACT festival at the Cole Theatre

    First community theatre in USA to produce THE PRODUCERS, RENT, LES MISERABLES, and SHREK THE MUSICAL
